Better Android Gmail

For a start, it'd be nice if Apple and Google grew up and decided to let Android Gmail do the pinch and zoom thing. It'd be less crappy with it.

But, when you get a new mail, you get the Gmail icon on the status bar - as a notification. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a default colour and another colour for the special case of getting an email from someone on your contact list? You don't care so much about Chase telling you your payment has posted, but you would like to know if your girlfriend wants to tell you something. Ja? Larry, Sergey, listening?
